United Nations targeting homeschoolers!

There is one common factor when dealing with communist statists: they never believe that there is anything that is beyond their control. In their own eyes, they think they should be in charge of every aspect of every single person’s life all over the globe. Once you realize that those are their ambitions, it clarifies how dangerous these people are.

That thought in mind brings me to a news story I stumbled across that has direct implications for homeschoolers. A new UN report, overseen by a radical communist from the PRK (North Korea), lays out the most draconian global assault on home education in human history. Proposed to be done under the auspices of UNESCO.

Under the excuse of “human rights,” the UN has proposed a number of “solutions” to the homeschooling “problem.” They are demanding that all governments regulate and control home education – if they are going to allow it at all. Among the UN’s demands are “education standards” and “accountability” to the government for how and what parents are teaching their children. Imagine the gall and the arrogance of these people; you can’t imagine it enough to equal the reality.

Not content to have control over what parents are teaching their children, the UN also demands mandatory registration, forced “evaluations” of homeschoolers by authorities, compulsory “home visits”, and more. In fact, the UN is calling for UN-approved values and attitudes to be imposed on children across a wide array of issues, whether the parents support or hold to those values or not. Essentially, the UN will control what parents are allowed to teach their children.

UNESCO’s report on home education is titled “Homeschooling through a Human Rights Lens.” lays out these draconian assaults on family freedom. You can read it for yourself by following the link.

The top UN official, Gwang-Chol Chang, involved in the push, comes from none other than the “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) commonly known as North Korea. Before joining the UN to “help” radically transform education across the globe, Chang worked for the mass-murdering North Korean communist regime’s “Education Ministry”. A relief to most of us that he at least has previous experience in controlling education, I am sure. His previous agency operates among the most comprehensive communist brainwashing systems anywhere in the current world. Yet, the government controls demanded by Chang and his minions at the UN are said to be necessary to uphold what the UN describes as “international human rights.” No, they are not kidding.

In other words, parents and private schools could theoretically be accused of violating the “human rights” of children. This call, and justification for, total control are clear and mandatory. Their documents demand that “governments must implement oversight mechanisms such as registration and evaluations,” and call for more “regulatory capacity,” which is more bureaucrats hired specifically for this purpose of snooping into your families business.

The report also states other justifications like “As homeschooling continues to evolve, adopting a rights-based approach becomes crucial,” and touting the “need for quality education” as defined by the UN, of course, “established minimum education standards and accountability.”

Translation: parents will teach what the global government approves of them to teach and nothing more or less. Right at the time when more and more of us are waking up to the fact that the government does not do a good job of education, nor of having children’s best interests in mind, the UN, of all people, thinks that they are the only ones who can ensure that children are protected from their parents’ backwards ideals. Now that’s a laugh.

Among the key considerations cited by UNESCO in this communist written report is to ensure that homeschooling fosters “exposure to cultural diversity.” And there you have it.

In other words, if you are not exposing your children to enough Sodomite propaganda or Critical Race Theory nonsense, then their “human right” to be socialized into the quagmire of society, as it stands today, is being violated. Of course, for many of us, that is precisely the point of homeschooling. To avoid this degeneracy and instill Biblical values in our children. That is the whole reason why I did it, and the whole reason that we left an overbearing state and moved to a free homeschooling state where we could raise our children how we wanted without interference from the state. Communists at the UN want to eliminate that freedom!

This is not my speculation about what they are trying to do. The report itself goes on to claim that children must be taught certain UN-approved values, such as “global citizenship”, of which there is no such thing, and “respect for diversity,” a dog whistle often used by the UN to promote gender confusion and other insanity.

It even goes on to require that governments promote the “development of respect” for the UN charter. A highly controversial document that was shaped, in large part, by Soviet mass murderer Josef Stalin and his American agent Alger Hiss.

Let me take the time here to explain to you our position on this issue. NO government has the right to tell you what you should or should not be teaching your children. That is your prerogative as the child’s parents. END OF STATEMENT.

Why? Because God’s Word tells us that this is the case. In Romans, we read about the three spheres of government, four if you count self-control as a form of government, which it is. Since children are not capable of self-control, they fall under the authority of the home or their fathers. The home is the first and primary sphere of authority in society, and its sphere is one of provision. The home, and therefore fathers, is God’s designated authority for providing all the things that life and families require. This includes the education of children. Mothers may be the active educators in the home, but they are operating in cooperation with their husbands’ authority. So husbands provide the means of support, and mothers are the CEO’s of the domestic affairs. This is how it has been throughout Christian history and is today the very model God gives us in His word.

Then there is church authority, which is to look over the flock and their salvation, and employing discipline when necessary, and the “magistrate” or the state, which employs the power of the sword (force) to do justice. Justice is the protection of actual rights given by God, not positive rights conceived by man, discipline against criminals, and protection from foreign armies.

If only the state would stay within its boundaries, we would be much better off, but it never does. It imagines its powers to be limitless. However, force is a poor tool for achieving much else but those things that require force, such as punishing criminals and protecting from foreign invaders. It certainly is a poor tool for actual education.

The home is now and always has been the proper venue for the education of children, just as the home is the proper venue for all areas of provisioning of families.

So what the UN is proposing is nothing less than a usurpation of God’s granted authority, and we reject it as such.

So we make one recommendation: if these draconian rules are implemented where you live, DO NOT COMPLY!!!
